Conference Overview:
Designed with the practitioner in mind, this conference will provide social workers and allied professionals with a dynamic learning opportunity on the topic of racial disparities. Through presentations and interaction, attendees will leave with enhanced knowledge and skills to address racial disparity issues in their practice with clients, organizations, and communities.

Workshop proposals are due by:

Presentation Proposals:

You are cordially invited to submit a proposal for a one-hour breakout session on a topic related to race or racial disparities. The workshop content should be relevant to the practicing social worker and can include topics such as: model programs that effectively address racial issues, skill building workshops, and practice approaches that address racial issues based on research or theory. Presentations may be delivered by a panel or a single presenter.
Audience:
Professionals looking to increase their knowledge and skills to effectively discuss and address racial issues in their practice.

Conference Format:
Dr Hart will provide the stimulating morning keynote and then join an expert panel to discuss issues of racial disparities and how professionals can make a difference. The afternoon will offer a choice of breakout sessions.
  • Registration:  $69 (includes lunch)
  • 5 CE Hours (social & cultural competence) for social workers and licensed professional counselors.
